Pickler born Kellie Dawn Pickler in June of 1986, had an extremely difficult childhood. The mother she had left at the age of two years old to avoid an abusive relationship. In 1995, she was returned into the world of Pickler and was granted custody. However, it wasn't as it was originally planned. Pickler, then 12, was remanded to her parents by court. They took care of her until she turned an adult. Pickler needed to look after of her kids without parents. Pickler stated that time was not enough and that she had to learn how to care for the family from a very young time. Pickler participated in the cheerleading squads of both her high school as well as middle school. North Stanly High School in 2004. Pickler was also a beauty pageant contestant.
