Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and a writer. She is most well known in the role of Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she started her professional career as an actor on stage in Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. After that, she performed in several Broadway shows before becoming a star on national stage alongside Li'l Abner in. She released her album It's too late for Tina in the in the same year. Louise began her journey into Hollywood as Griselda Walden on God's Small Acre, a film about drama that was released in 1958.The film was praised widely and Louise received her Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. In the course of this film, she was began her studies at Actors Studio in New York and formed a connection to Lee Strasberg as his student. She signed on with CBS in 1964, to play Ginger Grant. Louise had a long and successful career balancing Broadway television with Hollywood as well as portraying a more serious in contrast to the glamour doll image she had been portrayed as.
